Woodsman models

After our last critique we decided to make the woodsman age throughout the film. So there are now 3 different meshes.

Young woodsman

Middle aged woodsman

Old woodsman

Since working up now a bunch of different versions I've got a much better feel for the character (and got better at the modelling) so I'm going to reword the young model to bring it up to the level of the older models.

wife model

finished modelling and rigging the wife. Pretty happy with how she looks. I managed to rig the eyelids to the eye control so we can make her close her eyes.

Working on lighting and lighting fx for the film assessing best file types to use depending on render times.  One option I`m working on is setting up a lighting tool to give more control over lighting within the scenes and recreating similar effects as the Deathly Hallows, there is some concern about using .exr files rather than .tga but will be doing some tests to what is faster and also customization.

Effects i have been thinking as the earth spirit is deep underground, at first i was going to have a vortex of leaves swirling around him. But had the idea that it wold be better to have rocks representing the earth, also as an added effect having fire and molten rock on parts of the model.

Water spirit will be particles simulating water splashing with a water material on the model  I`m looking at weather to do it in Maya and tweak it in Nukex or to try the Nuke particle system out i will end up using the one that give the better effect.

Sky spirit ive been looking at a Maya-Nukex effect in simulating smoke emitted from a model that i will change to represent clouds so like a spirit moving through it.
